George A. Sarpong has been with Kosmos Energy Ghana HC since 2008. George has oversight as Director of the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) program by virtue of his role as the head of Corporate Affairs Department. His previous experiences prior to Kosmos include over 15 years of leadership responsibilities in marketing management, and business turnarounds in the US and Ghana. George is the senior officer of the KIC Program and is responsible for the KIC Governance Committee for directing and implementing the KIC program and all of its components. He is also the key point-of-contact for all implementing partners. George has been one of the great brains behind KIC’s conceptualization, vision and direction. An accomplished executive, George’s eight years at Kosmos Energy Ghana, steering the company’s corporate affairs has solidified Kosmos Energy’s in-country image and brand. He has ensured that the company’s core values of social responsibility are brought to life to the communities where the company operates.
He studied Business Administration at Furman University, after which he continued to Columbia University to pursue Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) in Marketing and International Business.
