Hammed Rashid Tunde Ali, popularly known as HRT, has been in the Shipping profession for 40 years. Highly qualified, he is a Shipping and Certified Logistician, Graduate of Shipping/Port Administration and holds an MBA in Maritime Transport Management from Clayton University USA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Port & Shipping Administration from Cardiff University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Senior Port Administration from the Galillee Institute in Israel, and has completed executive quality management courses from the Harvard Business School. Ali is a member of Institute of Directors of Ghana, the Institute of Transport & Logistics UK/GH, and the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders - GIFF.

His career began with the family business Messrs Intercotra Ghana Ltd as an Agency Manager/Supercargo. He later joined Maersk Ghana in 1990 as Shipping Manager, Bolloré Logistics in 1998 as General Manager, and in 2007 worked as Country General Manager for global company DHL. In 2013 HRT was appointed Chief Executive Officer PSC Tema Shipyard, the largest shipyard in Africa.

HRT has served on several boards including:  National Lottery Authority, Ex-Chairman of Ghana Gaming Commission 2012-2016, Chairman of Transglobal Logistics, Board Member of Index Brooks, Board Chairman XL Management Ghana Ltd, and finally the  Council/Founding Member-Ghana Chamber of Shipping.
